Introduction

Welcome to our "What's New in the Tive Platform," a new quarterly blog series where we'll walk you through the latest and greatest enhancements to Tive, and showcase key capabilities added during the last few months.

At Tive, we strive to keep customers informed of new capabilities that can have the most impact on their businesses. We relentlessly innovate to transform supply chain visibility technology on a global scale—to deliver a best-in-class user experience.

Our team works hard daily to expand our solutions so that our customers can be more resilient, more efficient, and deliver real-time, actionable insights that save their shipments—across road, ocean, air, and rail.

So let’s see what’s new!

Trackers

Tracker calibration certificates are now GDP compliant

Calibration certificates now include the tracker ID in the downloaded PDF. This not only ensures that calibration certificates are compliant with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), but it makes it easier for you to identify which devices have been calibrated.

Easily locate Tive trackers across shipments

Easily locate trackers in your inventory—or quickly filter your inventory list by device type—on the Trackers page. Instead of scrolling to find the tracker data you need, you can now quickly and easily navigate through your entire inventory of trackers.

Introducing automatic cancel commands for trackers

This new feature automatically detects trackers that haven’t called home—and sends a cancel location command to force a reconnection attempt. With this feature, you no longer have to rely on customer support to manually send cancel commands when you encounter connectivity issues with your trackers.

Shipments

Merge duplicate locations

Tive now detects duplicate saved locations, and suggests merging them into a single location. After selecting which location is correct, Tive automatically updates all existing shipments that used those locations.

Route rendering updates

You can now see which geofences are used when viewing shipments. In-Transit or Upcoming Shipments show both actual and predicted routes, making it easier to confirm that the correct geofences are used—and identify the cause of missed leg transitions.

User Experience

Generate & share reports in Spanish (Spain)

Now you can generate reports in both English and Spanish from within the Tive platform! This feature enables collaborators—inside or outside of your organization—to easily generate reports in Spanish, and previously generated reports can also be downloaded in Spanish.

Self-guided onboarding is now available

Our new self-guided onboarding quickly gets you up and running using the Tive platform—so you can start tracking shipments immediately. Self-guided onboarding enables you to begin setting up your account in the Tive platform without having to wait for support from the Tive team. The onboarding experience shows you how to:

  • Register a tracker
  • Configure a tracker
  • Create an alert preset
  • Create a location
  • Create a new shipment location and alert presets
  • Navigate the Shipments and Trackers pages
  • Generate a report
  • Complete a shipment

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
